Immanuel

www.healingofthenationsministries.org

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”  So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”
Luke 2:14-15

Behold, a Virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
And she shall bring forth a son, and you shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matt 1:21

He came for our salvation.  He came to be with us and to dwell among us. He was given unto us as a gift from our Heavenly Father.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.   John 1:14    The Heavenly Father sacrificed his own son that HE might reconcile us unto Him.  He made the determination that HE was going restore the relationship that was lost with mankind when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17  God was in Christ thus His name is called Immanuel.  God is with us!

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2 Cor 5:19
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

Our Heavenly Father established for us a new form of government.  No longer were we to be trodden under foot as is the case with every form of government that His people had been encountering.  But instead, we are to be carried upon Jesus's shoulders just like a true shepherd carries his sheep.  For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  Isaiah 9:6

And I will clothe him with my robe, and strengthen him with my girdle, and I will commit my government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. Isaiah 22: 21-22
His form of government is "Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church"  Ephes 1:21-22
Jesus took all of our sins and offense upon his shoulders and imparted his righteousness unto us. Jesus knew that HE had been given this power to rule and reign in Heaven and in earth and yet HE chose to die on the cross for our sins. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Matt 28:18  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 5:21  He said, "All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him." Matt 11:27  Thank God for His government!

Jesus is our wonderful counselor our Prince of Peace!  The Priests of Israel were expected to bring peace offerings for an atonement of Israel's sins that they might receive forgiveness. Jesus made the supreme peace offering for us.  This is why HE is our Prince of Peace.  Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.   Hebrews 2:17   For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15

What Moves You?

www.healingofthenationsministries.org

Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.   But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.   Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.  Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”   Matthew 9:35-38

Jesus had a genuine sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings and misfortunes of these people.  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15

These people were exhausted and there was discord and division among them.  He attributed this to the fact that he did not have enough laborers to reach out to these people and so they were suffering.

We see the same thing happening world-wide today.   People are suffering because we do not have enough laborers to attend to their needs.  The type of laborers that are needed are those who are moved by the compassion in their hearts to do something that is not going to be easy to do.  God needs those who will labor in love until HIS work can be accomplished in this earth.  Are you that person?  What needs to you see happening all around you?   What are you going to do about it?

Jesus was moved with compassion and it caused him to do something.  What is that something that only you can do?  God needs your hands.  He needs your feet.  He needs your voice to bring about a change in people's lives!  Are you ready to be that laborer that He needs in this end time hour ?  What is it that HE is speaking to your heart that you need to be doing?  Its time to step out and do it my friend the world needs you to bring about the change that only you can bring about.  There are people suffering that need your help.  Please obey the Holy Spirit today.

Jesus Carried our Sorrows

 https://www.healingofthenationsministries.org/bible-studies

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.      Isaiah 53:4

If you are like me you have heard this scripture all your life and in sermons and even studied it but have you ever pondered the true meaning of it ?   The Hebrew word for grief is Chala which means both physical sickness and pain as well as mental anguish.

Jesus took upon himself our sicknesses and our sorrows on the cross.  The Hebrew word for borne is nasa which is used to give us the idea of bearing or to carry away.   He knew that the healing that we needed was not only physical in our bodies but it was also emotional.

There are many Christians today who are suffering physically and emotionally.  They have lost their jobs ,their medical insurance, their homes and their spouses.    Its one thing to suffer sickness or grief as a result of some foolish decision that you make but yet another when you make the right decision and yet still suffer for doing what is good?    There were circumstances that happened beyond their control and they were not at fault.  These things did not happen because God was judging them as being wicked or evil.   Just as God honored and exalted Job because of the suffering that he endured he will honor you.

Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.  He also had seven sons and three daughters.   In all the land were found no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job; and their father
gave them an inheritance among their brothers.   After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations.  So Job died, old and full of days.  Job 42:12-17

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.  2 Cor 1:2-4

No one enjoys experiencing emotional, physical, or spiritual afflictions but sometimes we must go through these sufferings that we might be a blessing to someone else in the future who is going through the same thing.  Jesus never promised us that things were always going to be easy for us.  Sometimes we will suffer for God's Glory.

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;  but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.  If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.  On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 1 Peter 4:12-14

And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?  But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;  having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.  1 Peter 3:13-18

Look at Apostle Paul. He knew the reason why he was suffering.  It wasn't because of anything that he did.  He was doing sacrificial service to Christ Jesus.

He said,  But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.  Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ  and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law,
but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;  that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Phil 3:7-11   I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,  of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God.  Col 1:24-25

Heartache and sorrows will come into our lives but Jesus made a way of escape for us. When he died on the cross he carried our sorrows.  The Hebrew word for carry is saval.  This word describes how Jesus acted as a porter would at a hotel carrying your heavy baggage to your room.   This baggage didn't belong to Jesus but he determined to carry it for you even though he didn't own it.

Do you have a deep inner pain or burden that you are carrying today?  Why not try giving it to Jesus ?  Jesus never intended for us to live in heartache and sorrow. Its time that you let go and give it to God.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:6-8

I know its hard but unless you give it to Him that deep inner pain and burden will continue to bring you fear and keep you from entering into the peace of God.  Once you give your burden and sorrows to God don't go back and pick it back up.  Leave it in God's hands and He will work all things together for your good!  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Jesus is saying to you  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30

And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.  Exodus 3:7

God knows your sorrow and your heartache so give it to Him today !

We are Made for God

http://www.healingofthenationsministries.org/bible-studies

Have you ever contemplated that the God who made the world and everything in it created us to seek Him.
He desired that we might feel after him within the inward depths of our heart and soul.

"Take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul." Joshua 22:5

" If you will only heed his every commandment that I am commanding you today—loving the Lord your God, and serving him with all your heart and with all your soul— then he will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, and you will gather in your grain, your wine, and your oil; "
Deut 11:13-14

When we earnestly search for Him in hope we find Him for He is not far from us but closer to us than the air that we breathe.

" The most high does not live in man-made houses. As the prophet says, ‘Heaven is my throne. and earth is my footstool. What house will you build for me? says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest? Has my hand not made all these things?’ " Acts 7:48-50

He desires to live within us.  He wants to make us His habitation.

" You are no longer outsiders or aliens, but fellow-citizens with every other Christian—you belong now to the household of God. Firmly beneath you in the foundation, God’s messengers and prophets, the actual foundation-stone being Jesus Christ himself. In him each separate piece of the building, properly fitting into its neighbor, grows together into a temple consecrated to God. You are all part of this building in which God himself lives by his spirit." Ephes 2:21-22
"It is in him that we live and move and have our being." Acts 17:28

When we live in Him we are able to walk in love towards our fellow Christians in the Body of Christ and we grow together into that temple.

"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. " Matt 18:19-20
